Especially the new positive cases given they had tested more people than ever before.
Both new cases and deaths down to single figure % increases. This is in line with the positive cases rates in Italy, Spain and France (until they added in their care home figures which sent their stats rocketing for two days) at the same stage after their lockdown but we do continue to have lower case numbers overall so 8% of our case numbers is lower than 8% of theirs if that makes sense. Its from now on that the impact of the lockdown (or otherwise) should really start to be seen in the case numbers.
With fatalities though there is always a lower number at on a Sunday/Monday. Several of the trusts seem to get their figures together at the start of the week and submit them on Tues/Weds/Thurs so I think there will be a spike again midweek. For that reason I think best to look at a 5 or 7 day average for the true picture which frankly is still horrific in terms of people losing their lives.
