my postie must be immune

every time a letter drops on the doormat theres a saliva thumb and fingerprint on it where he habitually licks his finger and thumb to select my post. most of the post goes straight on to the fire anyway or in the recycle bin if no address and i leave the rest for a week or so (unless it is obvs important) and then open and hand wash after.
