Readers of the Sherlock Holmes stories may recall that in "The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle," Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famous detective successfully obtained some information from a fowl seller by intentionally losing a bet to him. Conan Doyle knew his f**kun s**t.
