At least in a couple of months time they may have found some effective drug combinations/treatment options that (although not a vaccine) mean less people die from it plus obviously have got the testing regime in place and the NHS infrastructure up to a level where it is can cope with the numbers.
I guess the plan will then be to relax the restrictions gradually and have targetted testing, contact tracing and further lockdowns in the event that case clusters start reappear.
My worry is that as soon as they release the lockdown everyone is going to go on some mad p**s up resulting in a major surge of infections!
