RE: your airport post below

I went on a ski trip to Italy at half term in February. When we landed in Milan (16 Feb) we were temperature scanned on passing through customs by people in full PPE. When we left a week later from the other Milan airport no checks there and nothing at all at Gatwick. The news had only really picked up in Italy the last day or two we were there.
