After a run of stats which up until yesterday were showing us encouragingly moving away from the Italy curve.
Each day Wales and Scotland announce their figures earlier than England and the UK and for the least 3 days they've stayed relatively stable but both have seen a big jump in positive cases today (Wales by 150%) and a small rise in deaths.
If England follows the same trend it won't be nice. We won't be back up at Italy levels but anything under 100 deaths today would actually be vaguely encouraging (in so far as you can ever say that about 100 people sadly their lives) in terms of the ongoing trends but I presume that where there is a surge in positive cases its unlikely to be represented in the fatalities until a week or so later.
