mainly good people actually

of course there are and will always be people who are idiots - but on the whole, i think the "people" are coming out of this pretty well so far - that's my own experience anyway. newspapers (some of them anyway) love a good, ooh look at these people doing dreadful stuff!! story. just stoking up anger half the time.
