I’m trying to take some positives from the stats for the last two days

This was the spell when It really started to go pear shaped for Italy.

It has been commonly said we are two weeks behind Italy and indeed two days ago our death numbers were exactly the same as Italy 2 weeks ago at 233.

They then went up to 366 and then 463 in the next 2 days. We’ve seen our smallest % increases in deaths for a while with 46 and 54. In fact the last 3 days have been 56, 46, 54. Still too many and incredibly sad but a departure from the Italy curve in terms of deaths. Let’s hope that’s The start of a trend and not an anomaly and an indicator that the NHS is currently holding up ok.

It’s going to be a horrible couple of weeks though regardless.
