I must admit we can be an abrasive sort over here sometimes, but in my

experience we are also pretty aware when we step out of line and do what is necessary, to maintain social cohesion.

Both my missus and I can have, what seems from the outside, a serious disagreement. But 2 minutes later it is forgotten and we apologise to each other when in the wrong.

I tend to take this board with a sprinkling of lighthearted seasoning, added with quite a thick skinned armour.

Its ok.
