absolutely, makes sense that everyone should decide how much risk they are

prepared to tolerate. It does make it very important for objective info to be provided by the govt and media though, so people can make properly informed decisions.

And as you say, it appears that the vast majority of 80 year olds are fine. I suppose the biggest danger in that group could be spreading it to other 80 year olds they socialise with who have lest robust immune systems.
