What a stupid thing to say.

So they are begging as opposed to asking no? I would be more concerned if they were not asking. They surely could get other people to ask on the governments behalf but I assume be they think it will carry a bit more gravitas coming from the prime minister himself. Maybe it will maybe it won't but let's hope it does help eh.
