it's a muddle

i'd like to get it and get over it in an ideal world (hah) but my ladies lungs are in tatters after recent illness so if i get it, then she is toast.

the received wisdom from people in the same boat as her is that it takes approx two years to fully recover and currently she is out of breath after walking 5 minutes now which is a huge improvement on a few weeks ago but she's got a long long way to go. read a nice little article by an italian US based journo that had by chance returned to Milan at the start of this and although grim he was full of hope for the future and how this thing could be a blessing in disguise and to be honest i am inclined to agree with him so it was reassuring to hear that someone else that had been full-on in the eye of the storm still had the same outlook as i do.

p.s. according to him china have sent loads of masks, gel and PPE to italy. gratis.
