maybe, but maybe people are more self-aware if they believe they're part of something

bigger.
I'm not a believer but if it helps some people make sense of our lives and that means they act in a reasonably civil fashion to others, then that's good.

Personally I'm in the camp of our lives are solely to play our part in the entropy of the universe and I'm ok with that
