there can't be a fair solution if the epidemic continues to escalate (which it will)

some teams will just have to suck it up. some won't. but it cannot be "fair". say the decision is; the table stands, the league is over and we get relegated. our lawyers will potentially get us recompensed for many quids. many many quids. huge amounts of many quids. it still wont be fair.

it's where we are in life and it will be transposed across all walks of life, health, business, sport, work, travel, leisure everything. everything will be effected in some shape or form good or bad, fairness is just a distant luxury.
