isn't the general accepted wisdom always that the league table doesn't lie?

if it is indeed the end of the season (as it literally is not possible to play again for the forseeable future) then shut the leagues down as is and livarpool are champions (they are in effect anyway) and we are relegated. fairest way of all in the grand scheme of things as tough as that is to accept we should, we live in tough times now.
