agreed, it doesn't seem the right strategy to me either at the moment

especially given how China and Korea seem to have more or less put a lid on it, and with warmer weather coming soon, possibly a vaccine within a year or so etc... It seems a bit early to accept that 30m+ people will get it in UK.

But at some point a forced quarantine of older people, and people with diabetes, heart disease etc... may be the best strategy.

Encouraging it to circulate in the wider population while trying to isolate the most vulnerable, could actually be the most effective way to avoid the kind of high numbers that the article put forward in the not too distant future.
