No it is a lot more than a cold. It is virus with no known cure yet that....

has killed and is continuing to kill a hell of a lot of people. It will get a lot worse before it gets better.

However in time it will get resolved (China has stated the worst is now over). I do agree with you there is a lot of unnecessary panic on here, but that is normal on every social media site. The issue surely is that of getting the matter in proportion, but to call it just a 'bad cold', no it is a lot more serious than that.
