We've an inexperienced side who were starting to find their feet when they got absolutely wiped out by injuries to key players which also hugely tied the manager's hands tactically.

The run of games at the peak of the injury crisis was one that had many more winnable games in it.

Injured players take time to recover and re settle into the side.

An established premiership club with more experienced players may have weathered it better. Who knows?

It's been a disappointing season (resultswise) but the players have looked decent, just slightly edged out.
