Inevitably he will give the ball away more because he tries things that are a bit higher risk but potentially lead to great rewards.
The key in my opinion, is to keep him out of the parts of the pitch where his mistakes cripple us (although partly decision making is important for him on that too, e.g. Watford at home!). Lambert did that very successfully with Wes; built the side around him in the end but also by playing him in “the hole” it meant he had reduced defensive responsibilities and was caught in possession near our box rarely.
