“history now tells us he wasn't a very good manager at all“ - that’s a bit harsh. He was very good for us and Colchester, didn’t do badly at Wycombe either. Villa was a hard one - it’s taken years and a lot of money to partly turn that ship around. Wolves the same, and Stoke aren’t really seeing any kind of turnaround yet, despite O’Neil starting quite well. As for where he is now, I’d defy anyone to go there and make a success of it in any less than five years, so I can see the logic of his contract.
