it appears that through my very cod understanding of this flu is that it is principally transmitted by contact (hand to contaminated surface and then to mouth/eyes) and so those hoons wearing surgical masks/respirators/tesco bags/tupperware aren't hatstand tonto as it is not the airborne ingestion such barrier items preclude but the prevention of hand to mouth/eyes contamination through a physical barrier as it is almost impossible not to go about your day without subconsciously doing so. that and proper hand washing.
