problem with VAR is the officials, let the call for a VAR stay with the on-screen official

At the moment all of the responsibility sits on the officials.

Responsibility should also be vested on the teams in the shape of the managers. If a manager calls for a VAR decison then the on-pitch official gets to review the video replay at the side of the pitch.

team managers alone can call for a VAR referral not referees or some knobber in Stockley Park. Managers can have unlimited calls

Get a VAR call wrong though and the opposing manager can select a player on the other team to be removed from play with no sub.

the match official gets 30 seconds to make a decision if he or she cannot then the original decision is upheld.
