FAO City Fathers - footy boots for 6/7 year olds

Any pointers for sensible football boots for a kid to be knocking around in at football practice which:
(a) won't break the bank of Mum & Dad
(b) might have street cred (or at least won't be uncool/naff/whatever the lingo is amongst kids these days)
(c) provide the required support etc.

Said kid has *finally* decided he wants to do football lessons. He is unlikely to be troubling the local scouts any time soon (playing in trainers isn't helping, I don't suppose) so no need to be pandering to some prima-donna proto-professional.

I've half a mind to just pick up the cheapest pair from SportsDirect but falling foul of (b) above is weighing heavily on my mind.
