The one party close to the centre in this election is nowhere in the polls

A centre left party that was formed in the last year got nowhere. The middle ground was eaten up by Brexit, how people will vote in this election depends a lot on if they still want that to happen. Many centrists that helped Blair sweep to victory 3x are actually a bit right wing and will mostly be voting Tory enthusiastically - although they might not admit it.
