Why did we switch to 3 at the back so early? Amadou looked off the pace altogether.

We need to be competitive, get in the oppositions faces, put them under pressure. Especially those teams around us that we can and should be competing with.

We struggled to break down their press, both Vrancic and Buendia would have been comfortable in taking the ball in and playing out. We seemed very reluctant to play longer balls in the first half, when that seemed like the sensible option at times rather than put a defender or Krul under pressure.

Buendia especially played like he had something to prove when he came on, he should have been on earlier.

I'm not panicking yet as there's loads of game to go, but if we are still struggling to compete in games come a months time then it will start to feel inevitable.
