The ongoing set piece shambles
The apparent lack of appreciation of how important games against the other “bottom half” teams are
The lack of squad rotation after players have run themselves into the ground in the previous game
The tactics/generally laid back/passive approach at the start of games/halves
These are all legitimate issues where he needs to learn fast or indeed it may already be too late for this season as they have cost us. I still feel the whole “day trippier” or “premier league” tourist attitude prevalent at the club enables some of this because every time we lose, abjectly to a relegation rival everyone just seems to shrug their shoulders and move onto the next game. The injuries were mitigation of sorts before but there is a psychological issue as well. He’s under zero pressure. The savvy coaches of the perennial bottom half prem clubs know however these are the games where you have to be 100% at it and target them.
