Yes, encroachment, but I’m with Jim on this, using VAR for it is s**t.

I don’t disagree it was, by the letter of the law, the correct decision. However, was it a clear and obvious error from the ref?

I think what VAR is and isn’t used for needs additional clarity, personally I’d exclude this in the same way the position of the goal keepers foot is (which as it happens, I think Krul breached)
