Genuine question, why do some of you believe so strongly that a permenant prem place

is our natural position as a club, and what we should expect?

I can see it as an aim, but there's nothing in our history, or the history of the Premier League (specifically Prem not top flight) to suggest that any club is established in the Prem outside of the usual 7/8.

In the Championship we currently have:
Leeds, WBA, fulham, Forest, Birmingham, Boro, Stoke among others that will feel as we do, and would argue that they should be 'established' as well.
In league one there is Portsmouth, Bolton and Sunderland and some tin pot outfit down the road.

There are only 20 places in the Prem and AT LEAST 30 clubs that can make a case at least as strong as ours as to why they should be one of them.

Based on that, top 26 seems a fair to challenging 'Par' to set ourselves if I'm honest.
No one is saying we can't be higher, but also to consider relegation as failure would be harsh.

Interested to hear peoples reasons.
