So after scoring

Kovacic just put his face into the camera and did that thing where you put your thumb to the tip of your nose, with your fingers pointing upwards, and wiggle your fingers.

ie the gesture meaning “aaaagh you’re a t**t”, or something similar.

I reckon he doesn’t know what that means. Possibly his teammates taking the piss and seeing if they could get him to do that if he scored.
