but if Big Powerful Trading Bloc (which will variously be the EU, the US, China) is saying "we want to discuss X if you want a trade deal with us" then, to get a deal, you're going to need to compromise (in whole or in part) on X.

If X is truly not on the table in way shape or form, then there's no point even sitting down at the table.

So in the same way we'll be giving up fishing rights to the EU, sure as night follows day, we'll be making it easier/more lucrative for US companies to sell into the NHS.

(incidentally our own pharma companies would stand to benefit from this too)
