Small amount more, I think focussing one that is a bit of a red herring.

I do think that those in the mid earnings bracket should also be sharing the costs but I doubt that many top rate tax payers are really kicking off over a bit of extra tax for the reasons you cite.

Is that combined with all the other measures which hit businesses and the self employed/those who run their own business which mean (a) the measures are likely to be counter productive and (b) a sector of society that really drives innovation and growth is going to be hit very disproportionately.
