Won't be a popular view but I think Villa are a fair bit better than Newcastle. So...

...in the long term I think a Villa win tonight may be the better result for us at the end of the season as I do believe Newcastle will struggle more over the season as a whole. Yes it won't help our immediate situation (those upcoming games against Soton and Sheff U - maybe even Arsenal do look crucial especially as Leicester and Spurs follow them) but I do think Villa look the stronger outfit overall.

Let's see I'm totally wrong with my analysis of teams as per normal.
