The admitedly few Ubers I've caught, about 10, all like the flexibility...

...most have families, studying and I'm told by them are treated way better than when many worked for mini cab firms...

They earn more as they don't have to pay a controller a backhander to get work allocated; plus they're paying taxes unlike many of their minicab, and black cab colleagues, who will often insist on cash even if they have a card machine (not working, mate)..

I'm not saying Uber is perfect, nothing is obvs, but it's also defo not the worse option out there either...
