Who stays and who goes after Worthy's reign:

Stay:

GKs-
Green
Ward
Lewis

I pick those 3 because Gallacher has looked shaky whenever I've seen him. Ward is vastly experienced and should be good for the development of Lewis.

Defenders-
Drury - Our only left back after Charlton goes, needs someone to challenge him.
Shackell - Has looked good since he got back in the team.
Doherty - Has become a bit cumbersome again, needs to have someone on the bench who can threaten his position.
Colin - Positional sense isn't that great, but has looked decent on the ball and has a good turn of speed. With good direction he will become a good signing IMO.
Spillane - Predominantly a defender, but useful in midfield too. Wouldn't expect him to figure too much next season though.
Rossi Jarvis - Again, probably too young and inexperienced to play regularly at this level. Should be loaned out.

Notice how it's all the young/average aged players left. As much as Fleming has been a great servant to the club, he isn't a right back and is getting too old to be a permanent option. Charlton is garbage and has to go. Louis-Jean has been unlucky, but I'm not sure he's the answer. Definitely need some fresh blood in this department.

Midfielders/Attacking Midfielders-
Huckerby - Our only left winger, but also our best attacking threat from midfield.
Safri - Stalwart midfielder, if he stays fit. Need someone who can step in and do his role.
Hughes - Looked a bit better lately, giving him the benefit of the doubt.
McVeigh - Our only decent right winger, although it isn't his best position. We need a right winger.
Etuhu - Only 23, has made noises in the media saying that he's disappointed with himself. I think he'll improve to become a good acquisition, under the right management.

Strikers-
Earnshaw - Goals, if we play to his strengths.
Johansson - A breath of fresh air upfront. Must stay.
McKenzie - Workaholic, and is good when running at defenders.
Ryan Jarvis - A couple of goals in the reserves recently, hopefully will be given more of a chance next season.
Henderson - As above.

We don't need anymore strikers, even after Thorne dies of old age next season.

When you look at it like that, we've got a decent backbone to our squad (Green, Shackell, Safri, and any one of 3 strikers) but also lots of deadwood that needs to be replaced, particularly in defence. With someone who can promote youth we've got some decent youngsters who will hopefully get a chance under his reign.

The question is, will Worthy notice this himself and buy the right players to sort it out, or will he spunk the money up the wall before being sacked, leaving our next manager with his s**t and no money to do anything about it.
