A belated thought on saturday

All in all much better performance although in the first half we were far too negative. Second half though was excellent on the whole. The game only served to enhance my frustration at the fact that there are a load of crap teams challenging for auto promotion and had we ben vaguely half decent this season we could have been right up there. All in all though I found myself getting involved and caught up in the game on saturday in a way that I have note for some time.

Can't let it pass though without one gripe about the coaching which relates to set peices. On THREE occasions within about 5 minutes in the 2nd half we got free kicks in great positions just outside their box and on every occasion we wasted them. We then handed them a goal from that free kick by not having a player on the post when it was so obvious for all to see that Greeno had left a huge gap on that side of the goal. Ok was a good free kick but someone on the post may have cleared it. This follows our shambolic efforts at defending that free kick against Stoke. Please, please, please can we do some work on the trainibg ground on both attacking and defending free kicks as they clearly do not have a clue what to do at the moment and its costsing us goals (both in terms of scoring and conceding).
