... that encouraged me that City were starting to try to play slightly better football.

For instance, there was this one bit, right, where the ball was rolled out by the keeper to the defence, couple of passes in defence, pass to a midfielder in space, forward run by midfielder, pass to striker in space, turn and run by the striker, shot on goal. No hoof in sight. Passes that went to other City players.

Far, far outweighed, I'll grant you, by nothing passes, s**t passes and hoofs, but still, that little germ of an idea was there.

Doubt we;ll see any of that tomorrow though - not away from home.
