you end up thinking about games like Blackburn at home 1st Jan 2001 when he was "on trial." Hughes sent off in the first half. We were playing 3-5-2. They came out in the 2nd, went 3-4-2 keeping their wide men wide. They duly equalized, kept the ball and Worthy did nothing tactically to combat it.
After the game, he demanded the job and was given it.
