I think it was the nature of the media w**kfest

The kind of coverage etc just because he was who he was.

None of which was his fault or even something he wanted, most likely. As a player I liked him even though I didn't like most of his teammates much (sorry Karn).

I don't think it was ever against him personally. And him vs John Terry? Him, in a heartbeat. Derby for promotion.
