I caught a virus in 2012 that made me see double for three days.

Scariest s**t I've ever known. I don't mention this to advance Bungleses understanding of his healthoopsy, just to underline the point that there are some vicious and bizarre viruses out there that do mental, mental s**t to you.

I had to have an MRI to rule out early-onset multiple sclerosis and everything. Tested to oblivion (bloods, scans etc, about the only test they didn't do was a lumbar puncture), and the best my consultant was able to venture was "*shrug* it was probably that viral illness you had the week earlier, they can do mental s**t we don't even pretend to understand."
