I know, see a doctor. And I tried, but over here in the Czech Republic the medical staff don't speak very good english and I speak enough Czech to say please, thank you and two beers.
Basically was eating a thai red curry at lunch and I felt my throat physically close. Weirdest damn thing. Colleague started pounding me on the back and my throat opened after about 20 seconds enough to let me breathe in - but not to talk for almost an hour. Off to hospital, where there was a lot of confusion and eventually I just wandered off out because frankly, I felt fine again and it was a Soviet era hospital full of scary people who sounded like they had tuberculosis.
Long story short - I'll see a quack once I'm back on Friday - this happened to anyone else? I'm certain it wasn't anything stuck in my throat or food into the lungs, I could feel my throat just... close.
I'm scared to eat anything now. I think I'll just stick to beer.
