If you are genuinely trying to cut down on meat

you need to consider 3 elements and decide which is the most important as it will change your approach - animal welfare, environment or health.

If you are doing it for animal welfare or environmental reasons then beef should be the first thing you give up, followed by pork then poultry.

The beef and dairy industry are responsible for more greenhouse gas emissions that the entire global transportation sector (planes, cars, ships etc.). Also, more of the Amazon rainforest has been cut down to graze cattle than for any other reason.

Give up beef and you will make a much bigger environmental impact than recycling, having solar panels on your roof and driving an electric car combined.
