The only thing "one-dimensional" is Worthington's Hoofball tactics.
Some players turn out to be legends?? Maybe, but if Thorne, Jarrett, Hughes, Etuhu, Robinson etc ever turn out to be "legends", I shall walk a lap of the hallowed turf infront of 25,000 wearing nothing but a rather fetching cock-ring.
Delia makes a lot of sense but she has chosen to ignore the hard facts that has caused all of the unrest - namely our tedious, monotonous, and ineffective tactics, and also a complete waste of funds on some of the finest showers of s**te that money can buy! As a provider of such funds surely she must be slightly pissed off? Not even a teeny weeny bit gutted??
Oh, and lastly, another way of looking at Worthy's record..........
1st season - players have a new manager, so they're bound to "up their game" in a bid to impress.
2nd - Got the goal, bottled it. Stuck 11 men on the goal-line - got beaten. Lucky to get past Wolves after using the same ridiculous tactics at Molineux in the game prior. Still a common problem even now.
3rd - Eighth. Ok, not a lot to say really. Certainly not an improvement on the previous season but by no means a disaster either, so we'll just say mediocre.
4th - Won the champs league - congratulations. Without wanting to sound like an unappreciative old cynic, we rode our luck on a hell of a lot terrible 1st half performances, but overall an achievement to be proud of.
5th - The Prem. Biased viewpoints hindered the teams progress, especially the deluded view that Holt should play over Safri. Also, Helveg wasn't played enough. It was only after months of desperation from fans to get Holt off and Safri on (even though that had to be enforced), that we got a run going. Sadly it was all too late. Worthington missed out on what the rest of Norfolk saw months and months earlier, i.e, that his bum-chum Gary couldn't cut it at the highest level.
This season - I'd love to know the reasons for the sale of Edworthy, as I thought that was plain daft. Replacement players have been poor, the team has gone backwards. Tactics are plain and simple - hoof. For the first time in a while I believe we are relying on hope that the team will somehow gel, rather than true belief. It will truly take a miracle though.
