Pukki on his ghoulden boot....

He is the Championship’s top goalscorer and he’s played a crucial part in helping Norwich City win the title.

And Teemu Pukki said he still has no words to sum up exactly how great it feels.

Speaking after today’s 2-1 victory over Aston Villa where City lifted the trophy, Pukki said: “It feels amazing. There are no words to describe it.

“It has been such a long and amazing journey to get to this point. We wanted to come here today and prove to everyone that we are the best team in this division, and we did it.

“It was a tough game. They are a really good team and they hadn’t lost in a long time either. They did everything they could to take points today, but we showed why we are the best team in this league.

“It has been a team effort and the whole team is amazing. Every player deserves it.”

Pukki was presented with the Golden Boot after the game for scoring the most league goals this season, with today’s goal at Villa Park taking his total up to 29.

He said: “It’s crazy. I couldn’t have dreamed it when I came here but of course I am really happy about how the season has ended up.

“The most important thing is that we are in the Premier League and we won the trophy, but it [winning the Golden Boot] is something I will always remember.”

As well as praising his teammates, Pukki had a few words of thanks for the Canaries’ Head Coach Daniel Farke.

“He’s a really amazing manager, it’s so easy to work with him and he made every player better this season,” Pukki said. “He deserves a lot of credit out of this.

"The whole team is something else, there has been such good team spirit all season and it was so important for us to get this title.

“We know next season will be huge and it will be an amazing experience. We will be ready for it.”

As Pukki’s interview with canaries.co.uk came to a close, the Finnish striker was whisked away by Grant Hanley who was waiting in the dressing room with a pair of hair clippers.

Pukki said: “I promised Grant that if we are champions he could do something to my hair, so everyone will see it tomorrow at the parade.”
