to test him, and then when he cracks a bit they lay it on thicker that he couldn't give up? (basically humanity described in one sentence)
That happened to me with friends, and when I didn't react they seem to get more pissed off with me. One dick 'used' to support Carlisle but switched to York, and at a York game went to me "you can't just give up on your team". I replied "you did"
He went "that's different"
Others just learned to accept that since 2014 I started going to watch other teams. I went to Chesterfield, Wigan, Huddersfield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Sheffield Weds, Sheffield Utd, Lincoln, Notts County (some others).
I settled on Sheff U cos it's 40 minutes on a train and 10 minute walk. I don't support them, but a 10/20% following feeling came about.
I actually don't want them in the prem, cos I was happy paying £20 a ticket to see them with real fans. Now the f**king tourists will turn up and the atmosphere will be foam finger central. (I'm odd aren't I?)
I'm babbling cos it's been implied I love them. I don't, it's just convenience. My best mate doesn't drink and we need to do something that doesn't involve bars, so going to footy is what we do.
Only this detail would become a mistranslated issue on this forum. That's why you see me not coming across as reasonable when w**kers throw my integrity around when it suits
