Hughton was such a nice bloke. I really wanted it to go well for him but one of the first

problems he had was he wasn't Lambert. We have to think back to the days when we loved Lambert and he was our hero. That had all ended so horribly. I still felt a bit raw over it. So Hoots felt like a rebound replacement that was never going to work out.

However, I persevered. I am no scc28. I patiently waited and hoped for great things.* I desperately looked for positives (Yay! We've beaten Man U 1-0!) but the reality was it was awful. I'd spend the match counting the time go down in five minute chunks, feeling happy at the end of each section if we hadn't conceded. It was unbearably tense and absolutely no fun!

I really was ready for him to go - and I hate it when we have to change the manager. So I'm sorry if he felt I hounded him out, but he just didn't seem a good fit for the Norwich I wanted to support.

I'm not sure where all the 'hate' has come from. It's Brighton's problem, nothing to do with me.
