Line of Duty question (spoilers up to latest episode)

As with all tv, loads of implausible things have been happening which I'll let go on this occasion as it's entertaining.

However, can anyone explain how they (Northern Irish bloke) managed to get access to the system H has been using to contact the "bad guys" via a laptop? Did they explain that and I just missed it?
