WOTBY quickly went 2-0 up against the vets as they scored whilst we were warming up. If you get any pleasure out of that boys well that’s your choice, cheats. 10 Minutes in & Conker had done 300 laps of the pitch, then again so did I he was trying to catch me for raffle ticket money. Squiggles was like a whippet chasing & hounding the youth defence & It was only a matter of time before LOJ scored 2 quick tap ins to make the score 2-2. A hilarious moment arrived when David & the Editor of Milk tried to shoot only for them to kick each other & end up in a heap on the floor. Very quickly after this Squiggles like a greyhound chased a hopeless ball & forced a mistake in the youths defence & finished to make the score 3-2 to the Vets. This was quickly followed by Peter the oldest player on the pitch scoring to make it 4-2 to the vets. The crowd went Easy, Easy, Easy, the vets new that their legs were shot to pieces. Alan who moved around the court like Michael Jackson after a small child was the main danger against the Vets & the youths scored 3 unanswered goals to go 5-4 up. Not to be outdone Squiggles & Loj set Paul up for a brilliantly worked equaliser 5-5. Playing with only 5 players for much of the game & 1 of them injured the Vets hung on comfortably until the last minute when Klobo Peters ghosted in at the back post to score the winner for the youths Score 6-5. The vets called the vets as they needed to be put down. Not bad against a team with an average age of 25 compared to our age of 45.
