Accepting that's it's probably more of an off the cuff remark rather than being something to scrutinise to the Nth degree (cv certain player tweets), I don't understand how they can be where they are now without Lambert having already devised a plan and strategy for next season, and being in a position to be more upbeat sounding? He's saying their season kicks off in June - that's a month to get his s**t together. Feels a bit late if that process isn't already well developed.
