FAO We Are Not Worthy

Why do you keep saying we are in a transition period, two years ago we had a team that won the championship and got us promoted to the Prem.
Last year by the end of the year we had added to that squad and although playing badly for most of the season almost managed to stay up.
This season if we had added two or three decent signings to that squad and retained the better players of that squad (and incidently not played them out of position) we would be challenging again in the play offs at least.
We are not in transition, we are in limbo due to the inept transfer dealings and inept tactics of Nigel Worthington.
Transition implies some sort of purposeful building process, i.e Arsenal as you yourself reffered to the other day. Our squad has been decimated and the players replaced with inferior quality.
That to me is not transition.
