Press news in...

We are in position at Colney and awaiting the Boss for his pre-Reading presser...

--------------------------------------------------------------

DF: First of all, it's well-deserved for Teemu and Max. Teemu has been outstanding this season, almost perfect. The same with Max. He has been so consistent. He can defend and add end-products.

DF: They can handle all the spotlight and applause and they won't get carried away. They know there are bigger targets, like the group award we want to get.

DF: Teemu is a player who can show his quality at the highest level. If he gets there one day, he can defiinitely add goals and assists. But most important thing, he continues to add goals and good Championship performances now.

DF: As a young player, you make big steps. He [Max] sped up his during the first few weeks. We worked a lot with him early on. Ever since he's been in the team, he's constantly improved. He is always learning and he still has work to do.

DF: Chris [Wilder] has been complimentary all season to us. It's always good when a successful manager like him says good things about us. We won't get too carried away. We know it's not done. Leeds and Sheffield United have the quality to win all of their last six games. We must be switched on and concentrated.

DF: Emi is a key player for us. He's in a brilliant shape at the moment and important for the balance of our team. It's a big blow but you have to handle it. We have this group and we will find some solutions. Several players have been labelled irreplaceable for us but every time, we've showed we have solutions.

DF: There are no other injuries and everyone is available.

DF: Playing teams in bottom half makes things more difficult for us. They are fighting for their lives and have no pressure against us who are the league leaders.

DF: Reading since the time of Jaap Stam have been one of the best possession teams in the league. They have great individual quality and sometimes lack the end-product or clinical edge. They are not too far away from being a top side. Jose Gomes fits their philosophy. I'm pretty sure they will finish above the line of relegation.

DF: There was no chance to appeal the red card. It was classed as a dangerous tackle so that means an automatic three-game ban. It's hard to accept. I don't to accuse anyone of the blame. I can understand the referee's decision and the decision of the EFL. I'm just disappointed with a three-game ban. In the context of the game, there were other tackles in the game that were even more dangerous. Todd Cantwell had a nasty tackle from behind on him in the last few minutes.

DF: There was a tackle on Max Aarons just before Emi's tackle which was just as bad. The QPR players made a bit more out of the situation.

DF: Other countries do the banning in a different way. They take a lot more into account to find a fair outcome. A three-game ban is not fair on Emi.

DF: It's not the fair outcome. If you love football, you love Emi. He was punished with the red card but the three-game ban is harsh against us as well.

DF: Emi was unbelievably disappointed. He had tears in his eyes. He apologised in front of the group. He felt hard done by.

DF: Since the ban was confirmed, it's been a difficult decision. I could replace one for one or change the balance of the team and moving other players around. The gut feeling will decide it in the end.

DF: We worked a lot on the mentality of being respectful to every task and switched on. We have to make sure that we know Reading is a different task.

DF: QPR was a comfortable win. All the players covered their lowest distance in the whole season apart from Tom Trybull. It's easy after a comfortable win that you think the next one will be easy. We have to press Reading. They are good in possession, it won't be easy to outpace them. We need to be mentally strong.

DF: During the whole season, we've never spoke about the table. The table will take care of itself. We are just focused on our way.

DF: The atmosphere was great in the last game. The fans and key people at our club and have created this unity.
It's important to have the atmosphere, it always gives us a lift. Tomorrow, it will be important again. We could be down in the game tomorrow so it's important that we stick together. The campaign is brilliant and exactly what we need. We need four yellow walls.

DF: Lifelong City supporters have enjoyed great seasons. But to win a title does not happen that often. We have lads from the academy and you feel this season is special. My message to the fans is to enjoy it and make the most of it. Let's get together and reach the final target.

That's all from the Boss. Much more reaction to come at canaries.co.uk ahead of tomorrow evening.
